Poject Details
This project consolidated three apartments into one. Situated in a 1960’s vintage residential tower, the design challenge was how to create a sense of height and open quality within a very tight envelope. Interior separations were kept to a minimum to visually unify the interior, while vertical elements, such as thin light slots, were introduced to accentuate the height of the spaces. Thin soffits were used to create unique areas of space without resorting to walls. A limited palette of materials allows the eye to travel throughout the space and to focus on the incredible views afforded through the envelope of glass.
