Poject Details

The clients moved from the suburbs to partake of the city’s cultural attractions, but didn’t want to sacrifice privacy or connections to nature. The design solution was a series of roughly parallel major walls that give privacy, shape the internal spaces and direct the view. The heart of this home is a two-story central gallery, which expands from a narrow entry area to a large living room window-wall that embraces the view and collects sunlight. The drama of the views, the fusion of interior and exterior spaces and the serendipitous character of light all reflect the clients’ passion for music, especially opera, and its translation into architecture.
