Poject Details
This mountainside retreat situated above the city of Breckenridge at 10,000 feet draws its inspiration from old mining structures. One-story at the street, the house rises as the grade falls, resulting in a three-story house terminating in a 32-foot high wall of windows. Clad in raw, hot-rolled steel panels for siding and corrugated COR-TEN roofing, the house will age and acquire a patina with time. At only 22-feet wide and a full 76-foot long, the house is directional, orienting to views of the city below, with the exception of a nap-nook that pops out from one side.
